Survive in Sahyadri

Survival? and that too in Sahyadri?? Why??

Every reader of this blog will have these questions in mind when they start reading it. One needs survival in high mountains, remote and risky areas like Himalayas. Sahyadri is assumed to be less risky in comparison as its height is less. And we make mistake here. Even though many treks spots have been discovered in Sahyadri, there are many unveiled and these spots are quite dangerous and risky due to dire nature. On failure to take optimum care and precautions, Sahyadri is not only terrifying but dangerous at times in some parts. This makes Survival in Sahyadri a must for every trekker in Sahyadri.

We all watch many TV serials like ‘Man Vs. Wild’, ‘Survivor Man’, ‘Man, Woman, Wild’, ‘Dual Survival’ etc. updating us on survival techniques. But do these serials really teach us how to ‘Survive in Sahyadri’?..
